Jonah Coleman takes a handoff from Bo Nix during Denver’s Week 2 win over the Jaguars.

Each week throughout the season PDW will be posting a list of those players worth targeting on your weekly waiver wire. These lists will be made up from PDW contributors as well as fantasy partner content. Please check back weekly for the hot pickups. Below are players to target going into Week 3.

Players to Add

Jonah Coleman (RB, Denver Broncos) Denver’s Week 2 win over Jacksonville answered the waiver wire’s most urgent question of the season. Fourth-round rookie Jonah Coleman took over as the clear bell cow of the backfield, hauling in 10 carries for 39 yards and a touchdown plus 3 catches for 19 yards. With RJ Harvey and J.K. Dobbins both nursing hamstring injuries, Coleman is the only healthy option with a real role left in the room. Denver hosts the Rams on Sunday, so make Coleman your first call. He is our top waiver claim of the week.

Denzel Boston (WR, Cleveland Browns) First-round pick Denzel Boston went from overlooked rookie to must-own in the span of two Sundays. After a diving-catch touchdown to open the year, Boston followed up with 5 catches for 95 yards and another score in Cleveland’s 23-19 upset of Tampa Bay on 7 targets, a team high. He now leads the Browns in targets, and Carolina’s soft secondary is coming to Cleveland on Sunday. Boston has flex-now starter-later upside, and the price will jump once the league wakes up. Grab him before that happens.

Marcus Mariota (QB, Washington Commanders) Jayden Daniels dislocated his left elbow in Week 2, the same arm that ended his 2025 season, and is expected to miss multiple games. That makes Marcus Mariota a real starting quarterback, not a bench stash. He already proved it, completing 11 of 16 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown in his Week 2 relief outing. Washington hosts Seattle in Week 3, and Mariota should still be available in most leagues. This is the cheapest legitimate QB upgrade on the wire and a must-add in superflex formats.

Tank Bigsby (RB, Philadelphia Eagles) Saquon Barkley left Week 2 with a stinger, and Tank Bigsby was the man who benefited. The veteran back finished with 15 touches and a touchdown, out-touching Will Shipley 15-9 while Barkley sat out the first half. Bigsby has a track record of producing whenever the Eagles green light him, including 104 yards on 9 carries last season. Barkley has an MRI pending and could miss the Monday Night trip to Chicago, which would make Bigsby a true starter. He is the best speculative add on this list.

Adonai Mitchell (WR, New York Jets) Adonai Mitchell has oozed potential for two seasons, and he is finally delivering. The 2024 second-round pick caught 6 of a team-high 12 targets for 63 yards in Week 2 after an efficient 3 catches for 60 to open the year. He is playing 60-plus offensive snaps and running the route against half of New York’s dropbacks, well behind only Garrett Wilson. The Jets travel to a vulnerable Detroit defense on Sunday, making Mitchell a clean WR2/flex add who can only gain targets from here.

Dalton Schultz (TE, Houston Texans) Here is your answer at tight end. With Nico Collins out on a hamstring, Schultz has become the Texans’ unquestioned alpha, hauling in 12 catches for 140 yards on 14 targets in Week 2, with 8 of them coming in the fourth quarter. The volume is only going to keep climbing as long as Collins is out, and Houston’s Week 3 trip to Indianapolis does not change that. This is a legitimate stream with a real floor, and the price will jump once the league wakes up to the volume.

New Orleans Saints D/ST Saints defenses do not often make this list, but New Orleans earned its spot. They held Lamar Jackson and Baltimore to 17 points and 312 total yards of offense in a 24-17 Week 2 upset, forcing 3 sacks on the Raven. New Orleans hosts Las Vegas in Week 3 and then Atlanta at home in Week 4, two plus matchups that make this a two-week stream. If your FAAB is tight, this is the easiest defense on the wire to own.
